Recently, an article entitled “Cas9-NG greatly expands the targeting scope of genome-editing toolkit by recognizing NG and other atypical PAMs in rice” was published in the Molecular Plant (IF = 9.326) by Prof. Zhou Huanbin’s research group from the Institute of Plant Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (IPP-CAAS).
The research team led by Professor Wang Zhiqiang from the Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) has been working on the study of peach fruit quality biology for many years. Recently, the team made important progress in the molecular mechanism of ethylene and abscisic acid synergistically regulating fruit ripening and softening.
In 24-31 March, Dr. Mei Xurong, Vice President of CAAS led a delegation to Belgium and Switzerland and engaged in dialog and exchanges on agricultural science and technology cooperation with European counterparts.
During President Xi Jinping’s state visit to France in 24-28 March, Dr. Tang Huajun, member of the MARA Party Leadership Group and CAAS President led a delegation to the INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique) to promote all-round science and technology cooperation with INRA.
