The Van-Met Model NSK is designed specifically for plaster, ceramic tile, and other wall and ceiling materials to conceal the exterior flange, leaving only the door visible. The wraparound construction and hidden exterior metal lath flanges reinforce the rigid 1.61mm (16 ga.) frame. The flanges have a metal lath spot welded to the frame to accept mortar. The Van-Met concealed zinc plated spring hinges allow the 1.99mm (14 ga.) panels to open 175° for easy access. Standard flange depth (“T” dimension) is 16mm (5/8”).
